Positive affirmations
Randomly browsing through Youtube while sipping my coffee, I landed on a video from Brahma kumaris. Although I had watched some of their videos before, what resonated with me most was their calm, serene demeanor. Everything they said made sense at the time, but I never consciously applied their teachings or thought about them again.
But today… today was different. It was different because yesterday was different. Last night was a low point - I’d applied to 100s of jobs and I was still jobless, my weight had crept up from where it was 6 months ago (weight I had worked so hard to lose), my knee was bothering me following an injury and I had the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Don’t get me wrong—I’m not usually a Debbie Downer. I’m strong, confident, and always see the glass as half full. But even strong people have moments of doubt and just need someone to say, 'Relax, you're going to be OK!
Today, that was my Brahma Kumari. She began with a simple idea and shared a principle: 'Whatever you want to see in reality, start by creating the thought that it already exists.'
And there it was—that simple statement that grabbed my attention!
I’ve been focusing on that thought, affirming it mentally all day. Actually, I manifested more than one thought, but you get the idea!
Check back with me later to see if any of them have turned into reality. I’m excited to see when they will!
